Early Childhood Literacy Program to Serve Broward Title I Schools
Fantasy Theatre Factory announces an exciting two-year partnership with The Jim Moran Foundation to promote literacy through the arts for Pre-K – 2nd grade students in Broward’s underserved Title I elementary schools. The program, Bringing Books to Children, includes the presentation of an exciting Fantasy Theatre Factory children’s theatre show, the distribution of 4,500 free program-related books per year and an educational mini workshop immediately following each show.
Bringing Books to Children is made possible thanks to a two-year grant totaling $115,000 from The Jim Moran Foundation, allowing Fantasy Theatre Factory to serve over twenty (20) Broward Title I elementary schools annually in some of Broward County’s most economically disadvantaged neighborhoods.
We are thrilled to be partnering with The Jim Moran Foundation on this flagship Early Childhood Literacy program serving the most underserved Broward elementary school children with this culturally and educationally enriching programming,” says Fantasy Theatre Factory’s Executive Director Larry Fields.
