The Jim Moran Foundation Continues its Partnership with Communities In Schools
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jim Moran Foundation recently awarded Communities In Schools of Jacksonville with a two-year grant totaling more than $420,000 to support case management services at four Duval County schools.
The funding will allow students at Frank H. Peterson Academies of Technology, A. Philip Randolph Academies of Technology, Lake Forest Elementary and Raines High School to continue to receive support from four full-time Communities In Schools site coordinators.
These site coordinators are embedded within each school to connect struggling students with resources to help them achieve academically and succeed in life.
“With this grant to Communities In Schools of Jacksonville, we are giving children and teens the tools and encouragement they need to make good choices and accomplish their very best,” said Jan Moran, chairman and president of The Jim Moran Foundation.
The Jim Moran Foundation is a long-term partner of Communities In Schools, providing more than $1 million in support since 2010, said CEO of Communities In Schools of Jacksonville Steve Gilbert.
“We are so thankful to have The Jim Moran Foundation as a strong community partner that understands the importance of supporting our students so that Jacksonville can have a brighter future,” Gilbert said. “Through our case management services, we meet the individual needs of students, and we are excited to continue helping them choose success.”
