ARC Broward thanks The Jim Moran Foundation for their incredible support of the seniors in our community. Thanks to major support from The Jim Moran Foundation, ARC Broward's Senior Day program which supports dozens of exceptional seniors has received essential funding for the next two years. The $157,330 total grant will accommodate adults over 55 years of age who are seeking opportunities for recreation, socialization, and a sense of community while also providing vital care and nursing services.
"I know my husband would have wanted us to partner with ARC Broward to help them continue offering compassionate programs for fragile seniors who face special challenges every day," said Jan Moran, chairman and president, The Jim Moran Foundation.
Many of those who benefit from this support by The Jim Moran Foundation have been attending ARC Broward for as many as 40 years. The Senior Day program was founded as a means for our community's seniors to engage in meaningful activities, learn life skills, and provide an environment to interact safely and independently with the dignity they deserve.
"We are so thankful for this support from The Jim Moran Foundation, which continues to work so passionately with our organization, as well as many others, to improve the quality of life for the youth and families of Florida," said ARC Broward President & CEO Dennis Haas.
Founded by Jim Moran in 2000, the mission of The Jim Moran Foundation is to improve the quality of life for the youth and families of Florida through the support of innovative programs and opportunities that meet the ever-changing needs of the community.
